Best Jamaican Food in Staten Island

When they say fall off the bone oxtail they are notttt kidding. The jerk chicken spring rolls were so good too. My boyfriend & I have been hopping around the boroughs trying different spots for oxtail and this was the best yet. So delicious and great service. Chef Shawn was the best & absolutely killed it

I gotta give it to them. That Oxtail golden egg roll is hitting and delicious! Employees are always welcome and friendly. This is truly authentic Jamaican food with plenty of favor.

Updated experience Christmas 2025; as my experience with this restaurant previously was positive, I decided to order a half pan of jerk pork and stewed oxtails to complement Christmas dinner, again I was not disappointed! Both dishes were an immediate hit with my family! The jerk pork was not overwhelmingly spicy so it didn’t overpower the flavor of the pork. It was well seasoned and well cooked. At the end of dinner, both pans of meats were empty. The oxtails were succulent and almost seemed to melt as it was being eaten. I cannot find a single negative thing to say, it was well worth the price in this economy! I will definitely use the catering menu again! Previous review below: (A-few months ago) I was visiting a friend out on Staten Island, and we decided to grab lunch at this Jamaican restaurant and we surely didn’t regret it! We ordered different meals but the portion size was big enough that we could have easily shared a meal between the both of us and be satisfied. I decided on the jerk chicken and sweet chili shrimp. The chicken and the shrimp were surprisingly well seasoned and perfectly cooked and that illustrated to me the importance of customer satisfaction to this business. My friend decided on curried goat with rice and peas. I’ve never been a fan of curried goat but this restaurant proved me wrong! The goat was tender and not greasy at all and I was certain that it would be. We also got 2 oxtail egg rolls as an appetizer and we absolutely regretted not buying more. I definitely intend to visit that little gem again, even if I take a trip there just to get the food! Believe me… it’s that good. We took our food to go, but from the time we entered, the atmosphere was welcoming. Patrons are greeted with genuine smiles. The lady at the front, took our orders correctly and she was very patient with us as we struggled to decide on what we really wanted to eat. The restaurant itself was well lit and very clean and definitely encouraged customers to sit and eat! If you live in Staten Island or simply passing by, go in and try the food- you won’t regret it 😋

I really enjoyed the food. We had Ackee and salt fish, oxtails, and jerk chicken and oxtail egg roll. It was all delicious. I didn’t take photos of everything. 4 of us ate.
